GET TO KNOW ME
I am passionate about supporting people through their toughest times, helping them find meaning in whatever life throws at them, and utilizing evidenced-based practices to address everything from trauma healing to peak performance. I have a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Texas A&M College Station. I have received formal training in EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and I am pursuing the International certification through EMDRIA which includes ongoing consultation and continuing education. I have also received formal training in EEG Neurofeedback and am pursuing board certification through BCIA. My clinical focus currently is on utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients improve their psychological flexibility, which has been shown to be the major factor in therapeutic interventions that work.
